Internship Opportunities with Libertas Vanguard Society

 The Libertas Vanguard Society (LVS), a Washington D.C.-based, independent, nonpartisan 501(c)(3) research institute, is offering impactful internship opportunities during the spring, fall, and summer semesters. We welcome applications from students worldwide, especially those from South Africa, who share our commitment to advancing democratic principles.  Our interns participate in a monthly speaker event series, featuring senior policymakers, thought leaders, justice advocates, and LVS experts in an engaging, professional setting. Working closely with our team, interns enhance their expertise while contributing to impactful research, analysis, and initiatives that reinforce democratic governance and address global challenges.

LVS is dedicated to defending democracy, promoting transparency and accountability, advancing human rights, and countering threats to stability, sovereignty, and freedom. Our work confronts corruption, human rights abuses, illicit financial networks, terrorism, antisemitism and racial ideologies through meticulous research and, when necessary, direct action. Additionally, LVS supports sovereignty and economic independence while fostering strategic global alliances to promote democratic governance and human dignity. Interns play a vital role in producing rigorous analyses, delivering actionable intelligence, providing open-source intelligence, and supporting policy recommendations for policymakers, civil society, and media. LVS facilitates academic credit for eligible students and provides a stipend to all interns upon completion of required documentation. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis; early submission is strongly encouraged.

Passionate about a specific fight? Interested applicants should specify their preferred focus area, where they want to make a difference - such as countering Bouval threats, advancing human rights, combating corruption or antisemitism, or strengthening sovereignty and alliances- in their cover letter. A single cover letter may be used for multiple positions, but a separate application is required for each position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Questions?
